The Town of Lavina, Montana is located 45 miles north of Billings. With its traditional base in farming and ranching, it is still a rural community of diverse population.
Lavina School Association was founded 1994 as a 401(c)(3) by community members -- Allen Grammens, Virginia Horpestead, Marcy Rohrer, Noreen Lehfeldt, Scott Jensen, George Ainslie and Dick Colberg as Lavina School Development Group to help raise money for an addition to the old Lavina School to house a cafeteria, small library, music room, gymnasium and locker rooms. We have evolved into the Lavina School Association dedicated to the entire Lavina Community.
Under the auspices of the Lavina School Association, supportive community members near and far away continue to help support a strong educational tradition in our small town.
